Yoko Mazza was born in Hanyu City where about 1 hour by train from Tokyo, Japan. Started exploring oil painting at the age of ten. Through study of Japanese calligraphy and painting, she was captured by the magic of lines and colors and has since created her unique blend of eastern art and western techniques.
After graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, she attended various art schools such as Art Student League in NY, Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach in CA, and San Francisco Art Institute.

She has lived in Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and currently resides in Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas.
